Hṛdayam
Heart marma at the precordial centre
Hṛdayam is the heart marma, placed at the precordial centre of the front body rather than at a claim of exact cardiac outline. Suśruta treats hṛdaya as a vital centre and classifies its severe injury as immediately fatal, so this combat-view point is explicitly a caution marker.

Suśruta-saṃhitā, Śārīrasthāna 6 (primary_canonical)
The trunk enumeration in Śārīrasthāna 6.6–8 (Acharya ed.) identifies Hṛdaya at the chest and places it among the sirā-marmas; the chapter's prognosis taxonomy makes severe injury an immediate-danger category.
