Sthāpanī
Brow centre — between eyebrows (sirā-marma)
Sthāpanī — at the glabella between the eyebrows. Suśruta classifies it as a sirā-marma (vessel class), viśalya-ghna (fatal on extraction of an embedded foreign body) — that is, a wound is non-fatal so long as the implement remains in place. Topographically coincident with the Yogic ājñā cakra and the Chinese yintang acupoint (M-HN-3); these correspondences are noted but the marma classification is independent.

The head-marma enumeration in Śārīrasthāna 6.26–28 (Acharya ed.) identifies Sthāpanī at the glabellar region; the chapter's classification gives it as a sirā-marma and viśalya-ghna, in the sense that extraction of an embedded object is dangerous.
