Known lineage variants
- Iridology charts differ in the orientation of right and left iris diagrams, sector boundaries, clock-face labels, and the organs assigned to each sector. This map uses two small bilateral iris insets and four nested visual bands per iris to show chart structure without selecting one chart as authoritative.
- The iris is an off-body diagnostic image relative to the corpus body silhouette. The eight zones are therefore drawn as small schematic inset rectangles over the eye region; their locations are a rendering host, not a projection that the iris or its sectors are organs or body tissues.
- Iridology's claim that iris appearance can diagnose systemic disease is superseded and unsupported by reliable clinical evidence.
